Employment - Nursing Students
Nursing Students who are currently enrolled in their Degree Course are encouraged to apply to join Adelaide Care Solutions. We recruit nursing students who are flexible, enthusiastic, passionate about what they do and above all have a genuine empathy to work with older people. Team work and excellent communication skills are essential.
Many students find the flexibility of agency work whilst studying to be an easy way to gain valuable nursing experience as well as earning a great income.
Nursing Students find that they can swap their roster and availability to fit with their University timetable. This means that when Clinical Placements are being undertaken there is no problem with being unavailable to work for the agency.
Some students still prefer to work weekend shifts - the choice is yours.
Nursing Students must have completed first year and at least one clinical placement in Second Year undertaken to be eligible to join.
Essential Clinical/Educational requirements to join as a Nursing Student
- Evidence of Enrolment and recent University transcript
- Successful completion of Manual Handling Module
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
In addition to the above certificates you must have:
- National Police Clearance Certificate that results in a satisfactory offender history
- Recent work history or clinical placement log must be evidenced
- Two recent work referees
